I’ve grown so much in the past 2 years I’m not even sure I know the person on these pages! I think the reason I stopped blogging so much is because of twitter and the short attention span that it has created. If I want to highlight a news story I provide the link….say my tidbit and send it on to my people.

Who has time for lengthy words and sentences anymore?

I will try not to lose myself too much and compile some thoughts here from time to time. I do remember way back….writing to myself gave me time to think….something that now, I can’t remember the last time I did….

I suppose the next question is…..Will anyone….anyone at all….fade to black……

First a few definitions:

OBE – Out of Body experience

NDE – Near Death experience.

Pam Reynolds had a brain operation because she had a brain aneurysm.  For this operations, doctors had to drain all of the blood from her brain for 45 minutes.  Technically, she was dead for that time.  Some awesome things happened when she was brought back.

She recounted talking to relatives….that had already passed.  One of the more amazing things is she explained parts of the surgery and knew exactly the tools that were used on her!

Another study conducted by University of Kentucky researchers has made them develop a hypothesis saying that the mind can wake before the body causing hallucinations and the feeling of being out of your body.  Although this does make sense, it still doesn’t correlate with how a “brain-dead person can develop these memories or experiences”.

Someday, whenever I do croak….I still want my body to go into preservation so that if any type of scientific break-through comes around bringing people back….I want to be first in line.  It will definitely be in my will.

On interstate-69 in Indiana this van carrying 15 or so people crashed!! It left 5 dead along with 11 others injured. 3 of the deceased were children!

The Irony: It was a van of Amish people. For those of you that have no idea what Amish people are go check the Wiki here. So basically in a nutshell, Amish people are people from a few centuries ago that live in today’s times. One of the main arguments they have is that they can’t drive cars because it’s against their faith.

Sorry, to each his/her own when it comes to religion, but! C’mon people….get with the times….at least on the vehicular transportation.

This recent event won’t make them be driving cars anytime soon.

Note: Always think of this Family Guy when I think of Irony….and I usually say Irony in this tone.

Just yesterday, Cheney(Mr. Penguin) held a press conference saying “Our country, and the entire international community, cannot stand by as a terror supporting state fulfills its grandest ambitions. We will not allow Iran to have nuclear weapons.”

When does it end? First and foremost….the rest of the world should be allowed nuclear weapons…..because for one, The freakin United States has them!!

Secondly, C’mon administration, you’ve been in Iraq/Afghanistan for the past 4/5 years and still can’t accomplish the mission. And to make things worse, you had a banner on a navy ship saying “Mission Accomplished” when quite clearly it wasn’t accomplished.

What makes you think you’re capable of getting the job finished in another company when your first attempt has failed. This president needs to go….everyone knows that. Of course, I’m sure Mr. Bush is an intelligent man….but the presidency is a hard job and isn’t for everyone. Although 1 year is left of this administration, I know there is just going to be a push to deploy into Iran.

Please don’t let this happen!

What is the deal with all this weather?  Just the other day….it was freezing….then hot and humid again.  What ever happened to a cold front bringing tons of rain and turning it cold?  What happened to my Autumn….I want it back!

I really need something to happen.  I’m not really sure what’s been going on.  My mind has had minimal experimentation with life over….let’s say, the past 3 months.  Between the writer’s block that’s been happening and the way life keeps propelling me forward I’m a little lost.

Instead of having long, drawn out, classes; All of my classes are only a month long now.  Of course, I’m just 22….I’m still a young gun, right?  It’s almost as if I feel my veins wrapping around my brain as it pulsates largely.  My skull is scared just a tiny bit.  Alright, alright….before this blog turns into a human anatomy class, back on topic….Brad!  What are you thinking?

Over the past 5 months of being 22 things have seemed….different.  They’re still so many similiarities, yet so many differences.  I took my daily morning walk earlier….Maybe I’m over-analyzing things too much….but the squirrels weren’t the same either.

I did feed them some bread though….Squirrel’s city-life….having someone give you bread sure beats a day of rummaging through the dumpsters…….

Last night I came across this story that Reuters had. The initial reports comes from biologists and out of the University of Cambridge.

This organism has managed to live for 40 million years without having sexual relations. They do it through a term called being an Asexual. Asexual – Basically they have sex with themselves to reproduce and live. They also have a vast amount of cells so they can adapt easier than all other species.

My outlook on life as far as getting through school, moving, becoming a quantum physicist and dedicating my life to that part of science; It comes down to this….I’m not trying to have kids….

They reduce sexual relations down to 0 over 40 million years. Well, I’m going to push 50 million. So hopefully the human evolution techniques allow us to learn how to have sex with ourselves and survive for that long. It’s a long shot but anything can happen.I also found another article with a study that stated more people can go without sexual relations for longer than they can go without internet access. Just goes to show how important, common, and essential technology has become in our daily lives.
